| Summary: |
Claims Administrative Assistants manage the day to day operation of three liability adjusters and ne property adjuster. It is important that there is strong detailed communication between the Adjuster and the Claims Assistant daily to ensure success.

Essential Functions
- Respond to incoming emails
- Set up all incoming losses
- Answer phone calls and take messages
- Obtain police reports, fire reports, statement of loss, etc.
- Review loss history and facts of the claim for referral purposes
- Monitor salvage recovery and salvage auto logs
- Assist with personal property inventory and valuation
- Send subrogation packets to companies and individuals
- Maintaining office supplies
- Make appointments with insureds
- Process incoming and outgoing mail
- Make sure all documents and correspondence are in the file prior to payments
- Maintain medical payments log
- Request W-9s as needed from appropriate parties
- Enter expense payments for adjusters
Specifications / Requirements
- Capable of staying organized and completing tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to provide full attention to customers and agents when they are expressing their concerns
- Strong oral and written communication between customers, agents, and coworkers
- Maintain strong knowledge of Microsoft products and basic computer functions
Education / Experience
- High school diploma
- Ability to work with the basic functions of a computer
Working Conditions
The physical work environment for this position involves sitting in an office setting communicating with others face-to-face, electronically and by telephone. Overtime may be required for this position if requested by a supervisor in order to complete a certain given task in a timely manner.
