The Family Auto program is designed for the average to above average auto risk. Qualifying insureds are responsible and well regarded in their community, meet their financial obligations, reflect pride in ownership, and looking for a long-term partnership with Wisconsin Mutual.
The Premier Auto program is designed for the above average risk with no losses and a clean motor vehicle record. This program requires that at least one vehicle on a policy carry full coverage.
The Educators program is available to applicants or spouses who possess a Wisconsin or Minnesota teaching certificate and are actively employed full-time as a teacher, professor or administrator in a Wisconsin or Minnesota school, college or university.
A Farm Automobile is a truck-type land motor vehicle or a trailer designed for use primarily in conjunction with the operation of a farm and the farmer’s private transportation. The farm truck must be licensed with weight of 12,000 pounds or more. To be eligible for Wisconsin Mutual’s Farm Auto program, the applicant or spouse must have a Farm Policy (FBR or FSP) with Wisconsin Mutual and reside at the farm residence. (If the applicant does not have a Farm Policy with us, they may insure their Farm Autos in the Family Auto or Premier Auto programs.) Wisconsin Mutual insures farm automobiles for operators with average to above average driving records that are operating in Wisconsin within a radius of no more than 200 miles from its garaging location. All other owned vehicles must be insured with us.
Liability coverage compensates third parties for their bodily injury or property damage losses that an insured becomes legally responsible for because of an auto accident. Liability coverage also assists in the costs of related defense costs.
Medical Payments include coverage for medical bills and/or funeral expenses if a covered driver and/or accompanying passengers are injured or killed while in an insured vehicle, regardless of who is at fault in an accident. This may also cover insureds and their family members when in others’ vehicles, or when insureds and their family members are on foot and hit by a car.
Personal Injury Protection
Payment in accordance with the Minnesota No-Fault Automobile Insurance Act, personal injury protection benefits to or for an insured who sustains bodily injury as defined by the policy. The bodily injury must be caused by an accident arising out of the maintenance or use of a motor vehicle or being struck by a motorcycle. Some of the benefits may consist of medical expenses, work loss, essential services, funeral expenses, and survivors’ loss.
Uninsured motorist bodily injury coverage pays for medical expenses, lost wages, and other general damages when policyholders, authorized drivers, or passengers are injured in an accident caused by a driver who has no auto insurance.
Underinsured motorist bodily injury coverage pays for medical expenses, lost wages, and other general damages when policyholders, authorized drivers, or passengers are injured in an accident caused by a driver who has insufficient auto insurance coverage.
Comprehensive coverage provides payment for direct and accidental loss to your auto caused by any peril other than collision that is not otherwise excluded in the policy.
