Job Title: Policy Services Rep
Department: Policy Services
Reports To: Policy Services Supervisor
Pay Type: Hourly

Policy Services Representative is responsible for entering all lines of new business and completing all change requests, cancelations, rejections and denials for policyholders.

The duties outlined below represent the minimum duties required as a Policy Services Representative. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Enter all new lines of business
  • Complete changes to current policyholders requested by agents and insureds
  • Answer incoming phone calls from insureds, mortgagees, lien holders and agents
  • Utilize skills and resources to provide quality service in a timely manner to policyholders, insureds, agents, and all other business contacts
  • Assist the Underwriting and Claims Departments
  • Work with Policy Services Supervisor when needed
  • Replacement when Receptionist is absent
  • Track and setup surcharges
  • Process changes, cancelations and rejections
  • Run and organize renewals

Specifications / Requirements

  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to change
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills are necessary
  • Maintain strong knowledge of basic computer functions including Microsoft products
  • Strong customer service skills are advantageous
  • Capable of fostering partnership in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work and function well together in a team atmosphere

Education / Experience

  • Prior insurance experience helpful

Working Conditions

The physical work environment for this position involves sitting in an office setting communicating with others face-to-face, electronically and by telephone. Overtime may be required for this position if requested by a supervisor in order to complete a certain given task in a timely manner.
